Destroy Babylon are a
Boston,
Massachusetts based
punk rock band that heavily incorporate
dub and
rocksteady with their songs.
Their second album,
sEParation, was recorded by Tim Shea of
Black Helicopter (of
Thurston Moore's
Ecstatic Peace! label), and has been reviewed by a number of US press outlets.
History
Early years
Twin brothers John & Marc Beaudette formed Destroy Babylon with their friend Chris Moran the summer of 2001 before attending college. They began writing
Dub music with
punk roots, but also covered many
Bad Brains songs. Over the next four years, very little was accomplished by the band, as all three members attended different schools throughout
New England.
Present
Since graduating and relocating to
Allston, MA in 2005, DB has played throughout Metro-Boston and beyond at such venues as The Middle East, Harper's Ferry, and TT the Bear's. They have shared the stage with various acts ranging from Boston Hardcore veterans Superpower to UK Legends
The English Beat.

Destroy Babylon was invited to open for The English Beat and Pressure Cooker on September 13th, 2007 at the Middle East downstairs in Cambridge, MA
A live performance of "Apathy Keeps Me Going" was aired on Fearless Music TV alongside other acts including Lyrics Born, Pepper, The Kin and others in July 2007.
In 2004 DB played at the University of Hartford Spring Fling, sharing the stage with Black Eyed Peas and many more.Further Information
